I saw the clip of police standing politely by as the terrorists walked into the building. According to news reports there were 6 terrorists for each member of the Capitol force assigned to control them, and they were unable to check for weapons. For them to be placed in that position, and no help called when the terrorists were instructed by Trump to walk down to the Capitol building was not their fault. To scapegoat the officers placed in an impossible position is unfair. But the person who should have sent them help as soon as the size of the crowd and the tenor of the rhetoric at Trump’s rally were known and didn’t do so is guilty of allowing and damage to happen and responsible for the entire situation.
