Sauron is too strong, and would challenge Trump for control – and he would have to fire him. And you can’t fire SCOTUS judges (or Trump would have fired Kavanagh already, for voting “against him”).
It really doesn’t matter who Trump picks – to the mindless rabble of the republican Senate, ANY choice of the president ( as engineered by the Federalist Society overlords) is perfectly okay with them!
The IMPORTANT thing is that they get the new justice in place before the election.
If you’ve been paying attention, Trump is planning, along with his minions in certain state legislatures, to contest the balloting of the election and throw the election to the state-chosen electoral college electors – which will result in a great hue-and-cry from democrats which will result in suits and challenges which will ultimately go to the Supreme Court which will ultimately be decided by his new “pet picks” which will result in Trump being “president” until he dies!
All you people reading this will be able to watch (in fascination, I assume) as American democracy is destroyed by a fascist political party that cloaks itself in the name of a once proud and honorable party that gave up honor and integrity for naked power.
