^Actually, kinda’ dumb, but not as dumb as continuing to run two year olds, and burning them out before they get past three. A lot of good horses are destroyed because we aren’t smart enough, like Britain, to let the horses physically mature before running them. (My folks had horses years ago, and the trainer considered our early running of young horses, stupid, in the 1950’s!!)

The only sport that uses metal shoes.

Just heard the horse was scratched, but not why. Injury from running too young???
