Mom: Did Miss Bliss play some songs on the piano? Alice: Yeah. They were all about washing your hands and being polite and not chewing gum. Every time her back was turned, we'd all go bang on the piano. So she sang a song about not banging on the piano every time her back was turned. Mom: The piano's not a toy. For every girl and boy. To bang and pound and... Alice: MOM.

When I was a kid, our neighbor lady used to sing “If I knew you were coming, I’d have baked a cake” every time we entered her house, and “So long, it’s been good to know ya” every time we left. Frankly, I never got sick of it. Sweet lady.
