Every year is an election year. Just because there isn’t a presidential election doesn’t mean that there aren’t elections going on for lower office levels and possibly changes to laws (see Ohio Issue 1 & 2 this year). Those all count in the grand scheme of things as well.

EVERY year is an election year. That people don’t vote every year is what allows some of the worst to rise up through the ranks

It was an election year here – lots of state & local offices on the ballot!
