And don’t accept the “the want to exterminate us” as a just cause to extermination of the opponent. That’s just fatalism. Both countries need psychological therapy. Killing people makes the killer a criminal, regardless of why it happens.

Neither Hamas nor the present Israeli government support 2 state solutions which have been proposed, choosing instead to use violence to achieve their goals.

Evidently.. munitions sent to Ukraine are public knowledge down to the last bullet. America wants the world to know how much it is supporting the war against Putin. However munitions sent to Israel are, evidently a state secret. Surely America is not embarrassed to be providing bombs that kill civilians.

No equivalency but even if there was, we could ask : “who started it? “ every single time. Who has compromise every single time? Who has broken every single ceasefire? Who targeted civilians, burned children alive, raped women and proudly bragged about it?

Well, yes. Go ahead. Try to discuss things rationally with that Palistinian who’s holding a knife to the throat of your two-year-old kid.

Heard an Israeli history/political scholar discussing Netanyahu on the BBC yesterday. He was super concerned about Netanyahu’s recent statement, taken from wagingnonviolenceDOTorg:

“You must ‘remember what Amalek has done to you,” Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu admonished on October 28, announcing the “second phase,” a ground invasion, of Israel’s war in Gaza.

Amalek, in the Tanakh (Hebrew Bible), is a nation that ambushed the Israelites making their way to the Promised Land. Following the attack, which they were able to beat back, God instructed that they must never forget and must wage an eternal war until no trace of Amalek’s existence remains.

When you are fighting a holy war (as both sides currently are), there is no negotiating, no ceasefire, and no end.

And as long as both sides maintain that position, they’re both right.

That’s why you don’t vote for right wing fascist leaders. Netanyahu has made it hard for him not to get elected, and Hamas just stopped Palestinians from having elections. The latter, being what Repubs would do in the USA given enough power.

Can’t be allowed, Vote Democratic up and down the ticket. Until there is no Republican Party left. Repubs have betrayed the public trust, it’s time for them to go.

Gee, I wonder why no other Arab countries in the region have offered aid to the Gaza “refugees”? Or even complied with their fundamental duty under the UN charter to offer safe haven to them?

Could it be that they, like we, recognize that there’s something totally different and fundamentally nonhuman about the Palestinians who elected Hamas and now permit themselves to be governed by them? The same Palestinians who see nothing wrong with putting babies in the oven while their mothers are forced to watch?

Even with all the ill will that the Biden administration has created toward Saudi Arabia, MBS has done the previously unthinkable by shooting down drones from other Arabs (the Yemeni Houthis) that were destined for Israel.

Which part of “You haven’t got a friend in the world” do you not understand?

Great job by Bibi on guiding Israelis to a choice between becoming an apartheid pariah state or forcibly evicting 600,000 schmucks from the West Bank, so the two state solution might be palatable to the sane Palestinians.

Great job by Hamas on spreading a philosophy of creating martyrs until one side or the other runs out of people.
