The reboot of Nancy has garnered a lot of positive press over the past three months. Some of that buzz has to do with the fact that Olivia Jaimes is the first female cartoonist to take over the drawing board for the 85-year-old cartoon. However, the new Nancy has also drawn attention for its shrewd portrayal of how technology--phones, apps, social media, bots, and more--infiltrates daily life, especially the lives of typical elementary school-age kids.
