Democrats worked with then-Speaker McCarthy to avert the first-ever U.S. government default and then again to avert what would have been the FIFTH government shutdown in the last twenty-five years, all under Republican House Speakers.

Then, as his own Republican conference was turning against him, McCarthy went on the Sunday talk radio shows, blamed all of his self-inflicted wounds on the Democrats who had saved him from his own folly and then, two days later when he needed them again to head off a humiliating first-ever midterm ouster by a vote from his own caucus, Democrats could no longer trust McCarthy any more than those in his own party. He had lied so often, to so many, making promises he knew he couldn’t keep, that is was no surprise that no one trusted him anymore.

When Matt Gaetz threatened to call for a vote to oust him, McCarthy confidently said, “Bring it on.” They brought it on, and McCarthy was cast on the dust-bin of Speaker history.

Now, the Republican CHAOS CAUCUS has become completely ungovernable, with infighting among themselves, and an inability to coalesce behind the consensus they are no longer capable of building.

So yes, they are blaming the Democrats for the failure of their own party.

Until they elect a speaker the US is crippled, it like trying to fight with your hands tied behind your back.

Is GOP Hamas or is Hamas GOP? Why TIK TIK and not TIK TOK?

Those that CAN- Do. Those who cannot- Teach. Those who can Neither Do, nor Teach- become (mostly Republican) politicians.

Oh well. More nonsense. Why ignore the pro Hamas protests that are populated by many on the left especially at many universities? That would be more accurate than trying to equate the GOP with terrorists.

Leftists equate misguided, incompetent Republican legislators to Hamas terrorists, who recently slaughtered 1400 + innocents including children. Nice. In recent decades one would consider this an exaggeration, but now this is exactly what leftists believe. Meanwhile, useful idiot leftists continue their pro-Hamas rallies on college campuses, they are the ones actually supporting terrorists.

Some dolts seem unable to distinguish between Hamas and Palestinians. “Pro-Hamas” rallies on college campuses? Where?

One could write a novel on this piece, or one could simple note, “basically.” I would offer that, that novel has been written more times than I can count, as has, “basically,” “basically” actually being more succinct and accurate.

The trolls above claiming the demonstrations on college campuses are “pro-Hamas” are lying again and showing they can’t comprehend the situation they’re talking about. Demonstrating for Israel not to bomb Palestine isn’t pro-Hamas, dingalings. Just how Islamophobic does one have to be to claim every Palestinian is a terrorist? I have not seen one pro-Hamas sign in the photos of these protests. I don’t have an issue with disagreeing with the protests or calling them insensitive, but claiming these students are supporting Hamas is a lie.

The GOP can’t dismantle a bomb, but they certainly know how to dismantle congress!

Been doing some research. This Emmens guy has a record of actually doing some sane stuff on occasion. I’m surprised the Republicans have reelected him. This is someone who will probably be better than nothing and that seems to be our choice at this point.

I think blaming the hospital (parking lot) explosion on Hamas is premature. To me, the preponderance of evidence at this time suggests that it was done by Israel – or the US. Unfortunately, I doubt that we’ll ever know for sure.

Yeah, I want a guy as Speaker (they’re all men) that the Constitution says is two deaths away from the presidency, that voted to ignore the Constitution and violated their oath of office to uphold the Constitution.

    I can’t believe it …

I woke up this morning with no Speaker and nothing changed in my life.

    Imagine that.
