Hopefully, it’s not too late to undo the harm done to the nation by a binary opposing party system that cares more about winning by the smallest possible margin (to conserve effort or money?) and then forcing its ideology on the other 60-70% of the population. Going from one extreme to the other isn’t working well for this nation and only widens the division making good government a distant memory. A declining 40% approval does not a nation make. Do the Republicans believe that the entire US population has nationalistic, xenophobic, white supremacist views?
