An admirable idea, I know their peso was worth quite a lot a few years ago and now it’s worth peanuts.

That’s a great idea and good luck with the left in Argentina.

Is Baghdad Bok actually admitting that inflation has dropped well below levels in other countries?

What could be next? Will he admit that unemployment is low? That the stock market is up almost 15% in the last year?

That, tragically, the Republican hoped for recession didn’t happen?

See, inflation under Biden has gotten under control and many other countries yearn for it.

A few figures for the US on this Thanksgiving eve. The US Inflation Rate is at 3.24%, compared to 3.70% last month and 7.75% last year. Gas prices are forty-five cents lower than a year ago. Unemployment is at a historic low of 3.9%.

Overall, we are doing better as a nation, and the forecast for next year continues the trend.

Them and most of the free world would like to get down to our level of inflation. The U.S. has low inflation.

@ChipBok, good point. According to IMF… USA at 4.1 and Argentina at 121. Worst is Venezuela at 360! Let’s see, who’s better than USA of a decent size and with data we trust? China at 0.7 (nope). Japan at 3.2 (good for them having been so horrible for so long). South Korea at 3.4. Canada at 3.6. Netherlands at 4. Denmark and Greece tied with USA at 4.1

Most large first world economies have a higher rate of inflation, so I’ll give Joe a B+.

Bok knows almost as much about Economics as the COVID-19 Denier- and Insurrectionist-in-Chief knows about ‘good governance!’

You’d think with all the experience Argentina has had with runaway inflation over the last 100 years you’d think they might have learned how to get a handle on it.

So the Idiot’s plan to “reoccupy” the Marvinas. That’s the Falklands to me and you. Is Less radical than getting inflation under control?

Facsits usually tell us what they are going to do. Don’t be shocked when he does it.

He’ll first have to consult with his dogs to get their take on Argentina’s economy. And Milei wants to us the U.S. dollar as its currency; how, exactly, would that work? Has he thought any of this through, or is he just another ignorant TV/radio celebrity who thinks he knows how to govern a country?
