I’ve always been bad about picking up those “little cues”. One woman had to jokingly ask “do you want to get lucky?” to catch my attention. Well, it did work.

In my mind, it goes both ways. Sure, someone has to be brave and initiate things. But once both parties show interest, either person could call or pursue, as long as it’s not mostly one person doing the pursuing.

There’s really no point in getting upset, Cathy. Irving is positively clueless. Always has been and always will be so you might as well get used to that fact here and now since you’ve become interested in dating him again.

I’m just amazed that he gave you such a quick “Sure” to your last-minute dinner date question though. Why? Because I wouldn’t have been the least bit surprised if he had told you that he already had other plans for tonight ….. which was to hang out at home, eating take-out and watching t.v., with his new 4-legged “lady love” Vivian instead! ;-)
