Hobbes is just playing. Calvin, after all, gets him tuna fish sandwiches!!

All cats can manipulate gravity. Even the big ones.

A tourist asked an Indian National Park Ranger “How high can a tiger jump?”

“As high as it needs to” was the reply.

Well, looks like a variation to the CalvinBall sport – i think it is called CalvinMaul!

Hobbes springs eternal…

So, I learned gravity pushes us down, rather than pulling on us.

and pounce in 3…2…1!

An almost nice way of saying “You’re fat and lazy”…

Ages ago in Peanuts, Sally walked by Snoopy holding her sleeping cat who was completely limp in her arms. Snoopy says, “Amazing. They’ve invented the boneless cat.” Boneless cat is what I saw in panel one with Hobbes totally relaxed on the floor.

Hobbes (in panel 2) looks a little like the Jaguar on a Jaguar car. (Maybe better)

Really like the scene here. Clean . . . and potentially troublesome for Cal.

We Cats consider the “law of gravity” to be just a suggestion…

Bill must be an empath of comic proportions. I can actually share the feeling he draws in Hobbes’s strip. In other words, Bill lives the experience before putting it to paper. I have always been extremely impressed with Bill’s work.

Flying Tiger(s)

They can get pretty limp in REM sleep but, once a cat gets moving at speed, gravity is just a suggestion.

Hobbes can levitate? Amazing!

Tigers are bigger than us. Of course gravity pulls more strongly on them

Humm, I think Hobbs remembers the trickery of yesterday’s strip.

At the SF zoo once a month on Saturdays, they opened the lion house to the public and fed all the big cats. They had a wheel barrel full of horse meat and threw big pieces into the cages. Terrifying
