I’d prefer it in the tub!
Thats a turbo wash!
A cold water swirly.
A little too quick if you ask me.
Wow! That’s an idea waiting to be tried… if only my body would fit…
Dad should have flushed the toilet after he was done with it. (Before Calvin “used” it)
I did that one time as a tyke after my bath. We had a maid and she got really mad at me and gave me a second bath.
Would make that a lot easier for me when my little one poops in the bath.
Mom, you don’t want to know how quick!
that was hilarious!
I recall the first frame with “Good-bye Cruel World” written under it.
Pretty sure the French have a word for that. . ..
Have seen an animated version on the web years ago, I wonder where….
Doesn’t Calvin take baths like that in the future?
Calvin didn’t get clean all over. His face doesn’t look flushed.Note that on Tuesday the toilet seat and lid were black, but today they are white. Bill Watterson made them black on Tuesday so that the white toilet paper would show up. But today they are white, because Calvin would look strange in front of a black lid. In frame 3 today, some of the hairs on Calvin’s head would be invisible if the background were black.
works for cats to if you sit on the lid and flush once to wash and twice to rinse
You didn’t wash behind your ears Calvin.
Can Hobbes join too.. ? ha haaa
Good thing it didn’t have Chicken’s invention from 2 Cows and a Chicken installed….. would’ve chewed him right up.
well thats a quick way to wash i will have to try that :)
My favorite !!!
Gotta love that “Spin cycle!”
This has just replaced the dog drinking out of the toilet as the greatest lavatory laugh.
So amazingly cute.
make-over? no, bowled-over.
The funniest comment!
totaly wiped out
Now that is called being tidy bowl fresh….
I do not like cold water, end of that.
Calvin is absolutely “flush” with excitement at bath time!
Hope the toilet had been flushed before he got into it.
every time I see this strip I laugh so hard…
btw…used to have a T-shirt(illegal) with Panel 1 on the front and Panel 2 on the back!
Good grief Calvin!
Adds new meaning to the expression, “Don’t flush the baby down the drain with the commode water.”
Mom will find out when it is time for the good-night kiss.
This is my all-time favorite strip of C&H! So great to see it again.
Not exactly the place to clean one’s self.
Ha—this one made me laugh out loud. Great comic, and only Calvin.
I like this strip. Another strip that I really like is “Freshly Squeezed” … I suggest you add it to your “Comic Page” and read it for a few days … I think you will want to keep it there. It is very well drawn and written.
My wife tells an apocryphal story where she and her twin sister when they were very young were combing their grandfather’s hair with a wet comb. Until he asked where they were getting the water, which was from the toilet bowl, since that was the only source they could reach.
Morefun than puppies in the microwave!
Am I the only one who noticed the shape of the toilet bowl? It looks (appropriately, I guess) like a pair of buttocks, and the base like legs…
Oh mom so clueless
only calvin can do this…..still love him
Ahh . . . . . . nothing like human swirlie’s
Ah, yes. Toilet water is clean water.
Doesn’t this defeat the whole point
