War of Words
Tried to have a fair and open discussion with a RWNJ over Israel and the Palestinians. Agreed that Hamas was a terrorist group, but I did not agree that Israel killing thousands of kids and innocent civilians would stop them. Only continue the same horrific cycle of death. Asked him what his sources where that he based his comments on. Got a lot of raving on left wingers, elite colleges, and democrats founding the KKK in the 19th century. Also, since Hamas wishes genocide on Jews, it’s implied that genocide on Palestinians is OK as long as it’s Israel “defending” itself. Too bad if 2 million plus people not necessarily supporting Hamas’ initial attack get exterminated by bombs, or lack of humanitarian aid. He went on that BLM was a sham because the all the protests weren’t nonviolent like MLK. This guy was all over the place. Never gave solid reasons or convincing information sources why so many kids have to needlessly die.
It has been my experience that the mistreatment of a peoples, in this case 1000 years of cruel acts in Europe, does not mean the mistreated will convey a saintlike behavior toward others.
War crimes are defined and enforced by the victor.
Let’s get biblical, since this is what it is all about anyway: 7 eyes for an eye and counting
The war crimes thing is why the US doesn’t belong to the ICC. Well that and the “conservative” preoccupation with sovereignty.
Well done, Brian, for saying it as it is.
