$600 is better than a kick in the teeth. Well, at least it’s not exactly like a kick in the teeth. Not EXACTLY…

Inept, inefficient, insanely disconnected and indubitably evil: That’s our GOP!

Actually he might not had a bank account and had to wait for a check like many poor people.

The landlords are going to evict millions, but who are they going to get to take the renters place ?

McFadden must have written this before the payment was set at $600.

In panel 3 the screen says “$799/month”…

so $600 won’t even cover one premium, much less “a couple.”

I saw an article titled something like “What to do with your $600 Stimulus Check”.I ain’t making this up, one can’t make this up.To loosely quote………." after using it for the obvious, rent and food, pay down you high interst credit cards, then consider investing in safe stocks or other secure investments……."There is a vast gap between the Haves and the Haves Not and the Haves are clueless.

The real problem will be its impact on the economy. We should have learned from the Great Depression that a massive amount of poor people leads to a depressed economy, which even the corporate state cannot steal prosperity from falling interlocking directorates. Whom are those landowners going to rent after eviction? Who’s going to keep small businesses going when there’re few shoppers? The simplest idea is to keep up the unemployment compensation (dump the taxes on it and Social Security) and the help for small businesses. The rest will take care of itself.

Can’t recall where I saw it, but somebody did a currency comparison with Bob Cratchitt’s “15 bob each month,” from A Christmas Carol.

It turns out that Scrooge was paying his clerk the equivalent of $28,000 per year. A minimum-wage-earner today gets about $16,000/year.

Stop whining.. Accept your place in the “caste system” that has developed in America. Be happy for the vast majority of Americans that have never missed a pay check. For the small businesses that employ thousands (and never missed a pay day). For the stock holders and of course, those with connections but no need. With proper humility you may get a few crumbs but not much more. /S

The cartoonist plays to stereotype today; not every poor person is African-American.

It is nobody’s business how I spend my stimulus check (or even disclose if I got one at all), but for the last one several Trumpers demanded to know… so I told them I gave it to illegals to send back to Mexico… it was funny watching their heads explode…

I realize it’s better than nothing, but how those clowns are so cut off from reality is astounding. In most places, $600 won’t cover 1/2 the rent or purchase food for a family for a month. And those fools strut as if they’ve done everyone a huge favor. I’m going to get sick
