Before you laugh, look down on your wrist to see if you’re wearing a first generation Apple watch.

Actually, the “Graffiti” lexicon for entering text into the Palm/Palm Pilot (im old enough to have one that still had “Pilot” in it’s name) was remarkably accurate and easy to both learn and use – in no small part due to the fact that Graffiti was already a mature technology by the time the first 3Com handhelds hit the market.
After reading this I went and dug out one of my old Palm units (a Palm III, for those playing along at home) and charged it up and entered the exact text above just to see if I remembered all the Graffiti strokes … and the text went in flawlessly. The 3Com handhelds and the eventual evolution thereof may have had flaws, but Graffiti wasn’t one of them.
