BIG NATE: BLIND DATE Part 1:
As the bell rang signaling school was over, Teddy and Francis were heading towards their lockers to pack their things and leave.
“So how was the math test?” Francis asked.“Don’t wanna talk about it.” Teddy replied.“Y’know, if you need a tutor, I’m always available.” Francis offered.A look of panic passed over Teddy’s face as he remembered the last time that happened. “NEVER AGAIN!!!” he snapped at Francis.“Your loss.” Francis said.
By then the two boys had arrived at their lockers. They did their combinations and opened their lockers. At least, Teddy was able to open his.
“C’mon, open up!” Francis said in frustration as he jiggled the locker’s opening mechanism (Author’s Note: I don’t know what it’s called). “Locker jammed again?” Teddy looked over from his locker.“Yeah, Nate’s got so much stuff in here sometimes it jams the door. He’s the only one who knows how to unjam it.”“Let’s wait for him then. He should be coming any minute now. Assuming he doesn’t have detention.”
The boys didn’t have to wait long. Nate rounded the corner, a look of frustration on his face. He approached the locker, fiddled with the comb a little bit, and opened the door. And quickly stepped aside as a huge mountain of papers, boxes, pets, and other bizarre objects shot from the depths of his locker.
“Hey Nate,” Francis said in greeting. “Why the face?”“I don’t get it,” Nate said, “I asked Mira out, but she shot me down. That’s five times this week. You guys have girlfriends, I barely get a chance to talk to girls without them insulting me!”“Well, you are easy to make fun of.” Teddy quipped.“Normally, I’d hit you, but I’m too upset right now.” Nate shot back.“Y’know, Nate,” Francis said thoughtfully, “I think I’ve got a solution to your problem.”TO BE CONTINUED
