Note: This is the beginning of the Bonnet-Brown era of Alley Oop that ended on 04/24/1933. After the Bonnet-Brown syndicate bankruptcy, there was a gap for about four months until Oop was picked up by the NEA syndicate (due to fans clamoring for its return) and started up again on 08/07/1933.
Holy Moly, what happened to Oop’s body? Bowling takes a lot out of you, I guess…
Oop rubbed his hand stamp onto his forehead. Gotta be a reason for that in the plot…
G. M. O. T. !
Not so good for Doc Wonmug.
No, never again.
Well, guess we’ll have to wait until Monday to see what happens next.
Vince Hamlin’s “Nitro for Napoleon” – Episode 66 (4/7/1947)
Panel 1: In the inky darkness, Oscar watches from a balcony as Oop leaps to the rooftop of a neighboring building as they continue their flight away from Napoleon.
Apprehensive as to their future with Napoleon, Alley Oop and Oscar Boom “go over the hill” via the roof tops.
Panel 2: Boom, looking through an iron gate, “We’re clear of the area guarded by Napoleon’s security troops… but I’ll breathe easier when Paris is far behind us!”
Oop, “Yeh… me too! Which way we goin’?”
Panel 3: Oscar, as they walk along a boulevard, “Knowing we’re Americans, their first move will be to block the Channel ports… so west is out!”
Oop, “No use goin’ east or north either!”
Panel 4: Boom, “South it’ll have to be… Why, sure! Holy cow, why didn’t I think of that before!”
Alternate Alley Oop Chapter 23 “Alley Oop Space Rebel” (513) 2/9/2018 Saturday
Pudd, the guard with the disturbingly looking human feet, 5 of them, and human hands, 4 of them got them to the boat launch to go to Goodenuv island and whatever mission Capt. Medusa is holding back.
Before they could say “thank you” Pudd was gone.
“So fast on those human feet of his.” Said Violet.
“Yes, in such an alien place to find perfectly good looking human appendages on the locals is an oddity.” Bex said.
“Well let’s get aboard,” Alley said jumping onto the medium sized boat.
“We do have have a gang plank, you know?” Admonished Tran as he floated aboard. Major Veng strided right after him.
Bex waited until Violet, Capt. Medusa and Bobbins walked or rolled up the gang plank before the rather large being followed.
When Bex used his foot-hands to grip the edges as he-she made his-her way up gauging the tensile strength of the planking as he did so as to not cause any splintering with his weight. “He-she is lighter than he-she looks.” Observed Bobbins.
After coming aboard, Bex answers Bobbin’s analysis. “Yes I have hollow bones and air sacs like a bird. Allows me greater mobility for my size. A mammal of comparable volume would be too heavy to safely walk that plank.”
Lumbaga created by John Keith Laumer for the novel, “Retief’s Ransom”. Haterakans from “Retief & the War Lords”.
Looks like half a Yin and Yang symbol on Oop’s head from the hand stamp…

Henri has a bad feeling seeing the area empty of people where it was bustling when he left those months ago. He stops to watch a bank of screens, news feeds from several channels. What he saw and read on the chyrons chilled him to the bone.
The first thing he thinks about is Beezlebub, though she hardly knows him. Having a crush in high school is one thing, but in the real world with a flaming alien who looks like a devil? Her whole race looks like that which is why some mythologists thinks they have either visited here once before or somehow the anomalies have brought them here to affect our religions.
Who cares? She is “smoking hot” by several reference points! And “bodily incompatible”. Who cares? He doesn’t.
The Sixth Voyage: The River of Gems (799 A.D.)
A chuckle sounds very close they see a pale head of a wamp “looking” at them mouth open, they can see those little bat teeth so well and a hanging pink tongue dripping saliva as it knows they are on the other side of the thorny barrier. Then it reaches with a gecko padded webbed scarlet colored paw grabbing Hassan by the head and thus pulled him to the other side. The screaming was horrible as they all here sound of too many feet coming their way. They all turn and run with Ooola and Alley bringing up the rear and fending off the now leaping monsters.
Henri, Dr Lectaire and Beezlebub created by Wilbur Floppenheimer
Historian Dr Cox & geologist Dr Copperhead with Doc Wonmug in the present.
WAMPS created by Clark Ashton Smith from “The Abominations of Yondo”.
And that is why they call him “Alley” Oop. ✨✨✨✨
What if he promises to leave his shirt and pants on?
Oop is being extremely overworked carrying that painting around.
I’m confused from this storyline.
He bowls overhand.
Alley Oop was arrested in Philadelphia today in “Jump Start.”
they someone that can draw. How did this guy even get a job.
Alley had a Alley OOPS !!!!!!!!
I guess the bowling alley had size 27 shoes to ent.
I’ve been following Opp my hole life I’m 62 and this my friends this is horrible, bad storytelling and yes bad art, would have been a better choice to reprint the series from the very beginning than this!
Yeah. That time, he helped the place get air-conditioned.
While we wait for something (anything) to happen here, this one is for all the music lovers on here. Got a lot of them in, very cleverly.:
We just can’t catch a break. Dick Tracy was saved by excellent art though the endings need some work. But we are still doing really well there. Unlike here. We can still see how it develops as they decide to alter their initial very bad choices into more like the original Oop. Not the Bender’s blasphemies.
Man, I tell ya. If we can believe that the reason why management thought the strip was about dead was because of the major complaints about art, stories, etc, I’m not sure that the number and tone of complaints here since 7 Jan won’t lead management to come to a similar conclusion based on what we’re seeing here daily. 8*(
This is interesting, and a clue as to how GoComics looks at strips for popularity:
his syndicate, Kansas City-based Andrews McMeel, announced that the Edee strip was its most buzzed-about comic of 2018, with nearly 500 comments and almost 1,200 “likes.”
