Okay, so they finally figured out the shoulder strap difference.I can see the conversation now:GUZ: See, Oop? I told you I’d figure it out! All you gotta do is remember that one of ‘em wears her strap on her RIGHT shoulder, and the other one wears hers on her LEFT. That’s why I’m king, because I can figure these kind of things out.OOP: So all I gotta do is remember which shoulder Ooola wears her strap on.GUZ: Don’t talk about that kind of stuff, Oop. It’s still a family strip. But yeah, all you gotta do is remember which shoulder Ooola uses.OOP: So which one is Ooola?GUZ: BLAGAAAH!

Are Alley & Guz genetically colour-blind? Otherwise the dress-colour would also have been a clue.

How dense they are is shown (as FENRISULFR pointed out) by the fact it took so long for Guz to even figure out the straps are on opposite shoulders.

(BTW, FENRISULFR—the straps issue is family-friendly, South Asian children know Indian women wear sari over left and Sri Lankan women over right)

I’ll make a positive comment. Today’s strip is no sillier than yesterday’s. Or the day before. Or …

Remember for the umpteenth time: Oola’s in red, Lola’s in blue.

Oop and Guz are color blind as a courtesy to dead-tree readers and those who still receive the strip on pressed blocks of mud.

OK. I’ll confess to any crime. I will even provide my ATM P.I.N. number! I’ll even go back to being Catholic. I’d rather have the Spanish Inquisition pull my toenails out and sprinkle salt than suffer thru another stoopit day of this ridiculous “comic” strip. How the mighty have fallen. How I miss the actual storylines of the past…

Silliness is fine, we love silliness. Most of these bits would be really okay if only the pace picked up. Taking forever to tell a joke is what kills the party.

Guz thinks he’s okay now. But he’s looking at them from the front. When they turn around, he be confused again.

PatrickDC202 is not handing his withdrawal symptoms very well…. I enjoy this fluff more than the newspaper’s headlines.

Who do these two remind you of? Abbot and Costello? Lenny and Squiggy? Moe and Curly? I don’t know…

in the last panel ooola and lola are in silhouette or standing in shade or something, but wouldn’t that mean that their dresses should also be black or gray or something? i read this strip because i’m a long-time fan of it and want to see just how long oop’s transformation into a silly buffoon will continue. i guess the answer is for a really, really long time. i also read it to see what new levels of inanity it will reach. what the benders are doing to the oop legacy is shameful.

    V. T. Hamlin would be spinning in his grave if he saw his creation today.

We’re to believe that Oop is in Moo and neither his trusty ax nor Dinny his faithful pet are anywhere to be seen. I don’t think you can find a single strip drawn by Hamlin where this was the case.
