    They are not going to just “hang around.” They are going to start surveilling Cherry Bimm to catch her doing something wrong. They suspect she may be involved somehow, but that wouldn’t be enough to get a conviction.

    They said that the RTC records are not all available in digital form, because that stuff all happened years ago during the S&L crisis before computers were as common as they are now. What I understood from today’s strip was that Bimm’s name was “on the FDIC form” which I believe is connected to the RTC scandal. I don’t think that the RTC records are available just by searching Google. Tracy asked Lizz (05/27) to investigate how someone could get that RTC document. It’s not as simple as just finding it online.

    I don’t know if we are on tenterhooks, because we already know how Cherry Bimm is involved in this whole thing, but Lizz is just now seeing a connection between the FDIC form and Cherry’s present employment at 4T. That makes Cherry a suspect.

    It looks to me that the CeeVee website is the fictional equivalent of LinkedIn, where people tend to post their careers. So, if Cherry Bimm signed the FDIC form, maybe she worked for that S&L at an earlier time and she would have 4T listed as her current job, so that is at least a circumstantial connection to the suicide.

    It does say “Portland (OR)” is the strip, so that it would be confused with the one in Maine.

    I think that 4T are probably paying her to spy on her boss, so that would be the reason she planted the camera, but she obviously resents what Ms. van Duivel is doing with Mr. Borden.

    Secretly recoding is probably illegal, but the owner won’t go to the police because what he’s doing is supposedly illegal.
