Innovation vs. cultural stagnation
DrCanuck said, 4 days ago
It’s funny how looting a country can cause its culture to stagnate.

…which essentially means giving up its sovereignty and raw materials and selling its manufacturing base to American investors, in which case America will generously donate a bag of rice every so often.

“The United States is one of the most generous countries in the world.” – How’s that for “Lib” guilt?
“Lib guilt” at the Vatican - I guess they did apologize to Galileo…
Innovation v Stagnation?!!? really?? How convenient to have a victim to blame…
Re: “Prove it …” - two words: United Fruit.
The situation depicted in this toon is inherently unstable - sooner than later, I think, in several regions.

No, it’s stable enough. They’ll just die. Early enough not to cause us any problems.

It’s the “policing” that did it for most of Africa, thanks.
The mantra “we’ll fight them over there so that we don’t fight them here” was quite common during the Cold War, it’s not a new concept.
Now that China is vacuuming up all the raw materials in Africa, and it’s a comminist country, where’s that nice policeman?
Oh yes, Mr Nice Policeman has short & curlys held by China.
The “third world” is rising up. I wonder what name they’ll start calling the former first worlders?

Thanks for confirming my sarcastic post, OmmyQ. Gee, they’re STILL raping and pillaging Africa on their own?

^ With whose bank roll?
The “policing” was done for self-interest, never for altruism. A protection racket.
China is simply doing what the West did before. However, the West seems impotent now.
Africa is still watching how their spoils are carted off elsewhere. So what did the West do for Africa?
