Crocodile: I'm so sorry things aren't going as well for you at the bottom as for us at the top. Man: The handkerchief is a nice touch. Crocodile: Napkin. Two-teared economy.
harleyquinn,
“Things are not what they seem, nor are they otherwise.”
Two seemingly conflicting ideas can both be true.
You’re right that this is a country where, with a great idea, hard work and some capital, you can become rich. Even without capital it is possible to succeed —though less frequently.
It’s also true that the system is set up to give enormous power to the private financial sector to choose who gets the capital that is often necessary for building a successful business. Recognizing systemic issues and constraints doesn’t make one a “victimcrat,’ it makes one smarter than the people who think that they are Free! from any of the impact of culture, policy, laws, media manipulation, etc.
Private banks in the US (in our fractional reserve monetary/banking system) have the power to create money out of thin air. That gives their owners an edge, don’t you think?
