With its tortured perspective, gritty realism, and outlandish urban humor, Derf’s The City has kept an outsider’s beat on current events, trends and out-there aspects of contemporary culture since 1990. Whether depicting the coarse insanity of modern urban life or the ultra-clean realm of the feature’s only recurring character - White Middle Class Suburban Man - Derf uses dissonant humor to speak up for what he calls "the common schlub."

Going to happen?
We’ve got people who do that with their phones already.
Heck, we’ve had people stop in front of the bus, bend down and tie their shoes!! (After the investigation the driver DID keep his job.)
At least the Google glass display is only on one eye, and you aren’t going to be looking down at your phone. Plus there should be an app to look for incoming traffic and overriding the current display.
Still wouldn’t make up for stupidity, but maybe we could get rid of more politicians that way.

People not paying attention to their surroundings is nowhere near as scary as Google paying attention to everything:

I wonder if you can reprogram it to respond to “Simon says”.

This is one of the few times I agree with this strip, however; in my area of the country it would be worse because the people would use this device while driving.

Talk about built in problems. You can’t be walking around and doing all those other things.

Seems like every day I see another sign that Google is becoming Big Brother
