The older I get the more I understand why old people resist change

Not a problem except so many of them can be such jerks about it

In her first Vampire books, Anne Rice explained why there didn’t seem to be many very old vampires- the world changed around them until the clothes, means of transport, style of speech… everything they thought of as ‘home’ was gone, then they dug themselves a hole and crawled in. I thought that was a pretty good insight into human nature way back when I first read that.

Maybe I am different, but I will try most anything at least once. I am 74 and will continue to try new things just to see if I like them, and not just food. On the other hand, I do not like things like social media, Pokemon Go, etc..

Older people can’t seem to accept that times change. Those who do are in the minority.

The only thing I resist is stuff that doesn’t work as well as my old stuff, or stuff that intentionally sets out to break my old stuff. My rotary dial phone works fine! No I won’t press “pound” for more options, I’m gonna hang up!

More appropriately, burritos. A ‘wrap’ physically resembles a burrito.
