Don’t let the facts influence public opinion in the U.S..

The problem, Ted, is the minute Israel disarms they’re dead. If Hamas disarms, there will be peace. But, you know that, don’t you.

Not only that Harley, but Hamas are the ones that break the truce EVERY single time! Hamas can end the fighting now by ending their aggression towards Israel.

Didn’t they swap 1000 to 1 on the last prisoner exchange?

Kill ratios are a bazaar method for measuring just war. Who invented such claptrap? Kill ratios for Americans versus Japanese or Germans during WWII were certainly one-sided. Anyone grousing about that?

This pretty much sums it up

Twisting the point. Israel wants Hamas to disarm, but Israel is far more violent than Hamas. And no, there wouldn’t be peace – Israel would do what people always do with a big military advantage – use it to oppress their neighbor.

Hamas’ rocket attacks are deplorable, but pale in significance next to the blockade to which they are responding.

The Germans and Japanese were the invading forces, just as the Israelis have been invading Palestine and capturing its land since Israel was founded. My opinion of Israel would be quite different if they had limited themselves to just defending the land they were given by the 1947 UN resolution dividing Palestine between the Jews and Arabs.

Ted, if you spend your time responding to people like PianoGuy24 (and Remnant, which I haven’t seen here before), you’ll have no time for anything else.

I do respond myself, sometimes, but then I’m retired, and the disgust that I experience at the perverted rationalizations I encounter probably makes my heart work a little faster.

    Keep up the great work.

LEt’s see – the blockade was imposed in an attempt to prevent more rockets from getting into the country so now it is blamed for the rocket attacks? Poor logic.

Actually, the origins of the blockade have nothing to do with Israeli security:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blockade_of_the_Gaza_Strip
It was done for strictly political reasons. By any objective standard, Israel started this conflict.

Sorry, but this assertion is even more boring than it is asinine.
