A great monument to the incompetent Bush admin.

Thank Dog someone is savage enough to deal adequately with this obscene, poisonous circus.

Tasteless and disrespectful, Mr. Rall. Just like the subject matter itself. Well done.

From the tallest shining towers, to the dankest, darkest, ugly hole in the ground, while it does represent the impact on our country of the Bush administration, it is well, perhaps the ugliest, in many ways, “memorial” ever designed. But, as the ‘toon notes, HEY! It’s going to bring in the bucks! That “fountain” does represent all the trillions of dollars, and lives, flushed down the drain as a result of the Rumsfeld, Cheney, Bush and company senseless wars against the wrong people, and total failure to accomplish the one simple mission of getting the actual guy behind it.

Thankfully, I’m smart enough to know not to visit New York City.

Did the Islamics put their new mosque down the street from
    where the Towers stood?

Cheney’s New American Century says we need a new Pear Harbor.
Condi ignores the Bin Laden Determined to Attack memo.
The Twin Towers get blown up on Bush’s watch.
Hijacked planes are in the air for hours and no intercepters are sent.
Bin Laden was never caught during Bush’s watch but two wars were begun under false pretensis.
I could go on, but people like you don’t want to get it.

There was a room, open to everyone, in the twin towers for Muslims and others. Look it up.

PNAC, now under another name, says we need a second one to seal the deal of Christian Fascism here in the USA. We are ripe for an economic catastrophe we barely avoided in 2008.

There are many reasons not to visit NYC. This is only one.
    ……………………………………………………………………
cheney/shrub/rumsfeld allowed it to happen. BC told W about it before we had our regime change courtesy of the SCOTUS. c/s/r did nothing, possibly to implement the new security theater and put the constitution away in a vault for ever.

Finally, Rall has one which I can applaud. This whole circus is a disgusting wallowing in the event that cheapens everyone and everything involved.

Interesting cartoon. Almost too cynical. But who deals with the actual impetus behind these horrible events? Sure Bush was in power, but Clinton was the one who sent in drones. The Dems like drones, the GOP invasions. The congressional-military-indistrial complex rattles on.

The circus, a social form for which Americans seem to have a special talent, began almost immediately and was at full speed within a few days. This memorial is just the latest phase. It’s clearly directed at sucker tourists rather than New Yorkers, one more thing to check off the list.

The ‘Ground Zero Mosque’ seems to have been much ado about nothing, a temporary excitement for racists and bigots. Part of the circus, really. There has been a mosque near the site of the World Trade Center from long before 9/11, just as there are churches, synagogues, and sites for a variety of other religious practices. People who find this fact offensive need to get the First Amendment changed.
