Once again, Ted proves that, rather than oversimplifying things, a cartoon can actually make things totally incomprehensible. So, as I see it, he’s saying that everyone is wrong, because the liberal elites say global warming is happening and conservatives say it isn’t but nobody gets the fact that Tedworld is the only world only depending on your own reality is stupid. Thanks, Ted.

your reaility, my reaility, individual reality.
Meanwhile, back at the ranch, REALITY marches on completely unaffected by Objective Reality Deniers.

I kind of like the strip. It is obvious most people walk around with their own version of reality firmly implanted in their heads and spend little or no time trying to determine the facts. It is much easier to simply make up one’s mind and not do any research on the issue.

It seems to me that unless you compute cimate models yourself, you should keep your mouth shut about it (either direction). Otherwise you are just repeating what you heard somebody say, and unless they actually compute their own climate models, they should keep their mouth shut about it.
    .
Go directly to those who have computed models. They are the only ones who actually know what they are talking about.

When the people who create and operate the climate models: (1) do not demonstrate the models have been validated or calibrated, (2) are caught lying, and (3) are involved in an active conspiracy to stifle dissent, one has to suspect their credibility.

By the way, I thought croaking was a “53 stack module” error.

So both those denying climate change and those accepting it are not only wrong but bad? And only you, Ted, are both right and good? You’re slipping into solipsism, man.

Duh, tornados are extremely rare in the Hamptons. The operative description would be hurricanes.

Ted, some of us are actually capable of thinking beyond ourselves. Does happen. Get over it.

    @jrmerm

Given that the above situations have only happened in the imaginations of the people who are dedicated to not considering the issue seriously…..

Seriously, the only people who have lied are the people claiming that climate scientists are lying. You need to dig into things a little bit deeper than just finding the claims which agree with what you want to believe.

Note the word ‘some’ here. In a world of billions, especially parts that have an actual population of a billion, the majority most likely think of nothing but themselves.

Well that tenant is impossible and just a means to shut others up regardless of whom they quote.

Tell me what source has demonstrated that the climate models have been validated. Tell me a couple lies that the climate warming skeptics have said about the alarmists. As for stifling dissent, read up on: (1) the Mann vs Steyn and Mann vs National Review cases, and (2) the hacking of the East Anglia Climate Research Unit emails, then repeat your assertions.

When the NOAA can make better predictions of the weather than the Farmer’s Almanac maybe I’ll start listening to them…

Maybe some of the liberal climate whisperers can explain a few things to me…

The most dire predictions of sea level increase seems to be about 5 feet. Why do I keep seeing maps showing the future coastline 100 miles or more inland?

Will the whole planet become a desert? I’ve seen predictions that the Sahara will return to being arable land like it was a few thousand years ago. Seems like with more heat, there will be extra moisture in the air.. it’s gotta come down somewhere.

Why are the predictions rated by climate scientists as ones they are least confident in, the ones they all seem to agree on?
