    Those poor drone operators will just have to find new target sets.

    The issue ignored in our press is that “Al Qaeda” is actually a very small number of people, a tiny minority in their religious/ethnic groups. The real issue here is when does the “Patriot Act” authority end, and who started the stretch of authorities in the first place? When conservatives say “drone them all”, or “kill them all”, they must include extra-Constitutional actions in the acceptance levels.

    As often noted, I don’t like the extensive use of drones, but collateral damage, even in the worst examples always cited, are less than from carpet bombing, or “shock and awe”.

    The “war on terror” is as nebulous as declaring war on mosquitos, without regard to how many species that includes, or the fact that only females do the biting, and males are plant feeders.

    In more ways than one, we need to focus on those seeking a blood meal, and use that restraint we do call “the Constitution” as well.

    And when they are done blowing each other up they will remember their first priority of killing the infidel.

    It’s sad to say, but what is better. Leaving them alone, so we really don’t know what they are planning or stay and keep them occupied and contained?

    Left alone isn’t generation after generation going to be raised to fight against us, or will they just forget? How do you fight an idea when they idea is to keep killing? A question for us all when we also look at ourselves.

    @CCNJ's say the sky is falling

    Not Libs, it was Cons who through the CIA funded, trained and armed the Mujahadeen which later developed into “The Base.” You are so backwards I am embarrassed for you.

    But they weren’t blowing each other up till the USSR, USA, Britain etc started blowing them up first.

    Do you get angry when you attack a hornet’s nest that was minding its own business? Yes our war mad leaders do. They want to rule the world.

    @CDK “No we were attacked by terrorists. Or you are saying that the Saudi govt attacked us?”

    No, he’s saying that all but 4 of the terrorists who attacked on 9/11 were Saudi.

  13. jrmerm

    @CDK

    If enough of the terrorists are from the same country, you have what could be called a “trend”. If you can piece together enough trends, say virtually all of the terrorists share the same religion, you can determine a “pattern”. “Trends” and “patterns” can help you gather more intelligence, analyze events correctly, and take steps to minimize similar events in the future.

    ^^Might ask all the countries we’ve invaded or attacked since WW II??

    Then why was Afghanistan attacked and not Saudi Arabia? Just sending your own question back to you. How is that hard to comprehend?
