Circa 1987, one Thanksgiving my moderately schizophrenic then-boyfriend and I threw a Thanksgiving dinner for 15-20 homeless people in our neighborhood. I did the cooking and Zeke built the fireplace and made the 4ml plastic tent so they could spend the night off the street for a change.

The guests were all polite and appreciative. This stuff ain’t rocket science and it ain’t sound bites, either. You have to just stop yapping and do it. Helps if you have help.

    That’s very nice of you.
Thankfully, there are many of us who, like you, help the needy either directly or by supporting great organizations like The Salvation Army.
But this is about still giving unemployment checks to people after 100 WEEKS.
If not cutting it off there, then when? 5 years? 10 years?
I know Barry’s economy has been brutal to the working class and ObamaCare has made things even worse, but at some point you have to stop the enabling.

When are the “job creators” going to create good jobs here in America? When are they going to show their patriotism by doing so?

There is plenty of blame to go around. Bush knocked the economy out and his 1/2 black twin finished it off.

Clinton was 10X the president of either one, and that in itself is a sad, sad statement.

Please, America. When is amateur hour over?

So you are saying there is a difference between the two parties? You bet there is.

WORK AS WE KNOW IT IS DESAPPEARING. The logic of automation says that while efficiency skyrockets, the amount of human workhours needed to keep it all running is decreasing. Part of our revolutionary demands will be 1. full employment, 2. tax the rich to pay for employment, and 3. 25 hours work for 40 hours pay. Neither the Demos nor the Repubs will support any of this, beholden as they are to the rulers. BTW, ALL these capitalist politicians at every level of government are RICH. Keep that in mind next time you vote for any of them. Right, Ted?

Well what do you think they will do when they are cut off and can’t look for work anymore? That is what they are doing? Looking for work is hard and pay is non existent.
So you would like to “save” money at the expense of the economy and work force? Why not cut them off and at the same time put them on salary as they are trained for a job. Can you do that even in a Depression? You offer nothing in return. Just cut them off is you mantra. A cruel short sitghted one a that.

How about ending it when they get a good paying job they are all trained for? What you didn’t think that far? Typical.

Republicans don’t care about jobs, just send more money to the wealthy. That is what they do as do the Democrats. The Democrats do sometimes help the Middle Class—-or say the do.

Not too many Liberals in the Democrats party. Not many at all.
