You’ll have to do better than that. How? Why?

Also, I love that “so-called cartoon” thing that people say sometimes. It’s a drawing with words. By definition, it is a cartoon.

Newsflash for those of you calling Ted Rall “sick”- The rest of the world often sees us as well armed, slightly immature playground bullies. Over the top? Of course. So was Jonathon Swift.

I’m sure some folks will claim we are the ‘good guys’ & the Arabs should be grateful for our help. I doubt we’d be so grateful if they came here to forcibly impose their values on us.

“Mass murderers can run in families, just look at the Bush’s.”

Seems to run in the Oval Office, too.

    @Ted Rall

Yesterday you were saying that Putin doesn’t need to use sarin gas because he has nukes.

Yes, chemical weapons are primitive compared to nukes, but if your goal is ethnic cleansing, not cleansing all life forms… gas is good. I could see Putin supplying ethnic Russians someplace like South Ossetia with gas, especially if he thinks he most of the world will shrug in response.

BTW, this is still not an endorsement of our current plan.

If Obama was exactly like Bush we would have been in there a couple of months or years ago. Assad would be a canned tuna and there would be more statecraft quagmire going around.

We just can’t get it right. Do something? People complain. Do nothing? People complain. The least amount of damage is to do nothing? Maybe. This is a similar situation to when Saddam Hussain used chemical weapons on the Iranians and Kurds. Would stopping him then have prevented 2 military actions on our part?

I’ll shake my magic 8-ball and find out.

I used to think politics was just high school on a national scale. Turns out, I may have been too generous. Welcome to international grade school.

Actually, I have to give Bush credit. He knew that it takes time to convince the public to go to war. Obama is too lazy to put in the effort.

A racist, trouble making idiot with a national audience. It’s just another ploy to make the people who can WANT to take the guns from law abiding AMERICAN (which this so-called president is NOT) citizens RIGHT WHEN WE ARE GOING TO NEED THEM THE MOST. This is not a cartoon IT IS A PICTURE OF A PILE OF SPREAD OUT S***!!

Just get the secret service to do it for you… Then you can blame a rogue agent underling for it if things go wrong….

Ethnic Russians make up like 3 percent of the population of South Ossetia. And the local ruling class is trying to secede from Georgia not join it. You have no idea what youre taking about. And in Syria the exterminationist rhetoric is coming from the US backed FSA not Assad. See the comments of their spokespeople at the least. The irony is that only a few years ago US backed death squads ethnically cleansed Baghdad of the Sunni population.

That cartoon says absolutely nothing about regulating the gun market. Neither did anyone else. You are insane.

    PRIDE IS the “deadliest sin”.

I would have to disagree on the “lazy” element though, Ted. Bush 43 really did NOT take the time to line things up, it should be noted that while he tentatively got “Congressional approval”, he ignored their restraint component, and went ahead with the bombing of Iraq without going back to follow through on the steps the Act called for. I would definitely call “W” the “laziest” , mentally, if not physically, occupant of the White House. Reagan was probably the his only challenger, but a lot of that could be written off to the Alzheimer’s.

This was a completely inappropriate political cartoon. In a world with as much violence as there already is, do we really need this type of crap in our political cartoons also?
