If the government doesn’t have anything to hide, then the government doesn’t have anything to worry about, when it comes to leakers. eh?

Wow. Manning very carefully cherry-picked 700,000 documents out of a much larger pile. Impressive. I’m glad you’re supporting him!

Just a thought…if the Internet, and Wiki-leaks and the Social Media had been around during Vietnam, like it is now, I wonder what kind of information about that supposed “War” would have been leaked to the press…

considering that war could have been won and done, but the media had to have a story. The media started putting the blood and guts of war on the tv, next thing politicians started putting the nose in the wrong place, prolonging and stalemating a war that could have been won.

Zing! And interesting Nazi reference — Hitler demanded that Paris be burned, and his military chose not to do so. How shameful a comparison!

Yeah, war was a lot more fun when the citizenry didn’t know what it was actually like, right? Send your children to slaughter and die, citizen, and stop asking “why”.

Obama was lying. Just like most politicians. His bosses, and friends, the Plutocrats have other plans. They Hope to Change the USA into a Corporate Theocracy. A Holy American Empire.

What is shameful about using history to exhibit a fact? Hitler wanted to destroy what was left of Germany, and they didn’t do that either.

How can you compare the two? That takes some incredible mental calisthenics to arrive at that particular solipsism.

My conservative friends thought that Obama would be soft on terrorists. He showed them. He’s more fascist than Bush.
