Obama only fights for principles when he can’t win? He fought tooth and nail to preserve the President’s vital ability to keep Americans safe by killing anyone, anywhere, any time, for any reason or for no reason, and he won that principle hands down.

A long tradition of gabbing defeat from the jaws of victory.

Obama fought for, and achieved, massive health care reform, massive financial reform and a slew of other things.

I don’t understand what Ted is trying to say in the first four panels. Is that sarcasm? Or the future? Because neither has the “excitement” of the sequester gone away nor does “the world” hate you again (minus some die-hard religious extremists) and the Senate is still under control of the Democrats. What gives?

I think it is yet to be seen whether his healthcare and financial reforms will be achievements or failures. The health care reforms are not yet in practice, and so far, at least short term, the financial reforms are working, at best, ho-hum. Whether the financial reforms will result in a cessation of the six or eight year cycle of economic growth and recession is yet to be seen.

Well, there was FDR. You know, Social Security and all that. But that was back when it was still possible for a few members of the wealthy elite to practice a measure of noblesse oblige. Those days are long gone.

“here has not been any MASSIVE reforms to either—some lip service and rhetoric are the only “slew” of things.”
So, you admit that Obamacare & Dodd-Frank are modest, centrist reforms? Interesting… according to the conservatives, they endangered the very existence of this nation.

Don’t worry Ted Rall. The excitement, like the Revolution, has only been postponed!

Since when has Obama EVER fought for a principle?

What country really ‘cares’ what the rest of the world thinks of them? Syria? North Korea? Russia? Iran??
America ‘caring’ what the rest of the world thinks of us is the biggest pile of crap anyone can imagine. To the moon.

That includes killing Americans don’t forget. Stupid Liberals who give that Regressive Obama slack when he doesn’t warrant it.

@krisjackson01
Not massive reform. Just a few tweaks of the Heritage Foundation Corporate Health care leg up.
