Why one of our a favorite trolls just said that yesterday word for word. Wow. But he was talking about Reagan. C’mon Ted that 30 years ago. And it is still a lie. Why not just reprint one of your first Reagan cartoons.

Go and apply for one of those great jobs…or did the illegals get them all.

That young beggar might be un-employable with no education, job skills, poor work experience, etc. He may also be socially dysfunctional whereby he has alienated his family and friends. He was also probably cut off from governmental and charitable organizations for abusive behavior. I wish cartoonists would take this reality into consideration.

Right-wingers like the one depicted in the cartoon want to cut everybody (except the rich, of course) off welfare, not just the abusive.
And yeah, this guy might be unemployable, meaning that nobody with the money to do so wants to hire him. So what do you think we should do? Let him starve?

@alcors3
Good point. Simply enforcing immigration laws would have an immediate effect on unemployment rates and increase the total return to labor.

Why is it right-wingers that that want to cut people off welfare. This is not true we want them off welfare. It’s the give them a fish story we would rather teach them to fish.

But then the wealthy and the reDUMBlicans would actually have to pay a decent wage for their slaves’ labors and they CAN’T have that.
.
Where would businesses get their cheap labor to fatten their own wallets?

Rubbish. If you wanted to help people up you’d support education programs and let them keep their benefits until they finish those programs. I lived in Wisconsin during the ‘90s when you guys “reformed” welfare under Thompson who’s now running for Senator. Essentially this involved forcing the needy into essentially becoming slave labor in dead-end menial jobs that don’t teach them anything, but did let companies lay off their actual paid workers so that even more people could go on welfare.

Its the let em starve and have the scum rise to the top politics of the last thirty years started by Reagan.

No the repubtards gave those jobs to the illegals. They don’t like paying real wages nor paying taxes.

That will work just as soon as citizens of the USA start wanting to work for two dollars an hour picking crops, or seven an hour doing construction. And even then they won’t be used to it and their employers will miss the more skilled, harder-working people from south of the border.
