Deploying the razor-sharp wit and incisive take-no-prisoners satire characteristic of his generation, Gen Xer Ted Rall has become one of the most widely read editorial cartoonists in America. Twice the winner of the Robert F. Kennedy Journalism Award and a Pulitzer Prize finalist, Rall's work has appeared in hundreds of newspapers, as well as such magazines as Time, Newsweek, Fortune and MAD. He is also the author of 15 books, including several graphic novels and political polemics about Central and South Asia.

In a perfect world… ;) Does anyone really think that the criminals in the Bush administration will ever be held accountable for their crimes? One flaw with the USA, with Nixon as a recent example, is that we are too ashamed of our President’s crimes to prosecute them. Bush and his mindless automatons will be vilified in history books, but will escape the hangman’s noose, for better or worse.

What a lovely fantasy! Nothing would do more to rehabilitate our stature as the moral leader of the world than to hand those warmongers over to the World Court after a good waterboarding.

Dream on and while you’re dreaming:
1) apology to Iran with negotiated compensation for 1953 destruction of elected, democratic government; 2) apology for shootdown of civilian Iranian airliner;3) full recognition, with negotiated compensation, of Cuba and… Ooops..there goes the alarm clock. Back to voting against the much lesser evil. Obama in ‘08…sigh.

I know, I know … “I’m a failure…” (Droopy Dog voice)
PS: And speaking of “rock stars”… yow, how ‘bout that crowd at Tiergarten?! And he didn’t even have to curry favor with the Prime Minister by giving her a shoulder rub! Dear Ol’ Gramps seemed to be at a loss for sputterin’ words of retort.

I don’t understand why Ted Rall feels his career hinges on his ability to hate and discredit equally, but all of his Obama Pieces seems false, contrived and misguided.

Stewpot seems to be an expert on the potential of wet dreams becoming reality. And I CAN’T WAIT to see his new Photoshopped avatar! You know, the one where McCain has Reagan’s pompadour and Bush’s smirk.

Not a bad idea, T. I’ll have to work on that!
