It’s a good thing to remember before we open our big mouth, Is it true, is it necessary and is it kind?

I don’t think Holly likes Mom’s ‘sage wisdom’. She looks almost bored to tears in the last panel. Alix best watch her comments for she will be in for a batch of Mom’s wisdom herself. Both girls desire a ‘DiNozzo’ head slap to bring them back to reality.

Yes, Holly has already tuned out the voice of the fossil of another generation. She is like a lot of teenagers. Mom and Dad have never gone through the same things that she has gone through.
Sad to say, we often ignore the hard earned lessons that our parents try to share with us. It is often too late that we learned that they knew what they were talking about and good advice often is not negated by modern technology.

@robinjhislop: not sure what the original source is, but I have heard that phrase primarily in connection with Mennonites. I’m not religious, but I have greatly enjoyed having Mennonite neighbors.
