…..And in the meantime, females work for less than their male counterparts, are bypassed for promotion, and sexually harassed on the job!

The GOP tried to filibuster the Lilly Ledbetter act. The GOP is trying to shut down not just abortion clinics (back alleys, anyone?) but women’s health clinics and even contraception nationwide, especially at the state level. Your pretend outrage at the (very accurate) cartoon is fooling no one. Until the GOP war on women is ended with ACTUAL POLICY CHANGES, the voting gap will continue to grow. Who exactly is the GOP trying to appeal to with this?

A lot of women (and men) did vote for who they chose, but once in office, Republicans changed their focus from jobs to voter suppression and shackling women’s rights.

“Abortion rights? You mean the right to murder unborn children or those who are alive and their spinal cords cut with scissors?”

You are not describing abortion, and you know it.

Your statement is as meaningful as me saying that Republicans love the Boston bombers because they hate Obama.

I recommend that you stick to the facts if you wish to have anyone seriously consider your point of view.

Abortion Doc on Trial in Philly doing exactly that.
It is an awful thing abortion.

Two examples of why intelligent people accept the need for abortion. A couple was ecstatic to discover that they were gong to have twins – until the next sonogram showed the fetus’ were anacephlic – no brain above the brain stem. Would you be willing to force a carry a fetus to full term under those conditions?

A mother of three became pregnant again. She had primary Pulmonary Hypertension. The doctors said the additional stress on her lungs would kill her before the fetus would be viable. Would you be willing to kill the mother just to make a point?

For every poor ‘fashion choice’ there are hundreds of women doing a good job and they deserve fair treatment…You apparenlty have retreated to fantasy life populated by reality TV stereotypes…

“Abortion Doc on Trial in Philly doing exactly that.”

I don’t care what he called it. I imagine the guy who kidnapped and held those women in Cleveland might call it “providing them a home”. Doesn’t make it right. Doesn’t make me agree with it, and it does not fit the definition of abortion, as much as you might like it to do so.

“That’s how Gosnell described it. I didn’t see much in the way of the Leftist media outrage over this.”

I wouldn’t trust one word that comes out of that monster’s mouth.

I have enough trouble justifying what I do. I will not try to justify what the media does, left, right, or center. I have no control over that.

It does not make my point any less valid.

BTW. when did it become a “right” to have your neighbor pay for your contraception?”

It’s not a right. Never has been. Where is it written that I have to pay additional insurance premiums to help pay for someone else’s fertility treatments? Are you suggesting that we go a la carte, that we should be able to pick and choose what benefits we want to pay for? And who gets to decide which one of us gets his/her wish? Good luck with that.

I don’t have any children of my own. Why should I have to pay taxes to support schools?

Can we find something more important to argue over?

Neither Congress nor State governments have the authority to negate Roe v. Wade. Decisions from SCOTUS since Roe v. Wade have upheld that decision and denied many of the restrictive attempts on abortion. Politicians know this but keep introducing laws that they know are unconstitutional only to appeal to a particular constituency. I think the proper word is pandering.

“Uhhh, I see you and I have the same tastes in women. (heh heh heh)”

Are you admitting that you try to look without appearing to ogle? Or that you move a little for a better view? For shame! For shame! (So do I)

The quality of SH awareness training can vary greatly. During SH awareness training at a previous job, the HR director posed the question “Is it sexual harassment if you call someone a bitch?” Her answer was “No, because maybe she really is a bitch.”

    @PlainBill

Here’s an article that shows stats in the UK that between 1967-1990 only 151 abortions were needed to save the life of a mother. Only .004%. Very rare, and since then I’m certain medical advancement has improved those odds to save a mother before needing to abort. And you have to know that it’s just as good if not better here in America!
    http://realchoice.blogspot.com/2008/10/search-abortion-for-life-of-mother.html
So, don’t give me that needing it for the life of the mother crap! It’s VERY rare! The rest of the abortions are just and only reasons of convienence!!! If a woman has to go to a “back-alley” I have no sympathy for her if harms befalls her when she wants to kill her unborn child.
