   Of course, the relative sizes are backwards — Israel gets plenty of defense funding from yours truly, and has a number of nuclear bombs. Not that I like Iran or Syria, mind you, but if Israel weren’t denying democracy in their occupied lands, Iran and Syria would have a lot less legitimacy in their people’s eyes.

   To all you irrational Israel haters – the reason why Israel gets funding (which I, as an American with Israeli connection, oppose) is b/c they are our extensions and the peace-keepers in the middle-east. Yeah, Israel has nukes, but they’re not threatening to “wipe Iran off the map”. Same thing can’t be said for Iran… Get a brain, guys. Israel is the mirror image of the U.S. in the middle east.

   ^ The only reason Israel gets funding is that they allow permanent American military bases on their land so America can properly threaten and intimidate Iran and Syria.

   Three small things to keep in mind. A nut job about 70 years tried to wipe an entire people from the face of the earth. People running some of the countries in the Middle East ( Iran and Syria come to mind) would like to finish the job. Israel (Jews) aren’t interested in killing all of the people that are in the two countries listed above.

    The leaders of Iran and Syria are using the same tactics on their people that George W. Bush used on Americans: Fear the Other. Leads directly to Hate the Other. Sleazy, despicable, and contemptible, yes, but it keeps them in power.

    Israel is a tiny Jewish nation, the only democracy in the Middle East, and one of the world’s leaders in science, technology, and medicine. It is surrounded by hostile Islamic religious dictatorships of one ilk or another that hate it because the Koran tells them to hate Jews as well as the “infidels” of all other religions. They have tried to destroy Israel ever since it was created by the U.N. in an area that has historically been a Hebrew homeland and must continue to be. Israel deserves the support and help of every freedom-loving nation in the world.

    The only thing missing in this ‘toon is the fact that Israel has a weapon in their back pocket………..nuclear weapons……the big,bad wolves don’t look so bad anymore……….(For the meantime)……My prediction is that Israel will be the first to unleash a nuclear weapon at some point in the very near future……..excluding the US’s detonation on Japan.

    Excellent ‘cartoon’, but he could have added Lebanon, Jordan, and now Egypt and possibly Libya thanks to Obama’s inept handling of the so called Arab spring. And before people in glass houses start throwing stones they might want to consider just who wants to exterminate who here.

    In terms of might, money, and backing from others, Israel is much bigger than either Iran or Syria, the latter of which is busy killing its own people even faster than Israel kills Palestinians.

    Which is of course why during the inquisition when Christians were killing Jews because they interpreted the Bible as telling them to hate Jews and infidels of all other religions… The Islamic countries took in the Jews and provided them with a safe place to live.

    Let’s let up on the rhetoric that’s designed to foment hatred, shall we? Otherwise we might seem to be hypocrites.
