Wow…you really out-did yourself this time Brian…This is just beautiful…I can just feel the night breeze, the scent of gardenias…While sitting on the back porch with my best friend listening to the crickets….just wonderful…..

Really nice cartoon, but the line only appears in the screenplay, not in Baum’s book.

The line was in the movie, not the book.

I agree with John Smith! This is usually the one strip where I don’t notice much nit-picking. And this is also my most favorite cartoon! I would usually “my favorite-ist,” but today that would probably draw fire. Thanks, Brian, for making our day, day after day. This is my first read every morning!

That false attribution annoyed me too. But other than that this one is as great as always!

(I love The Wizard of Oz movie, but it does have that one big flaw of turning it into a dream instead of keeping it a pure fantasy like the book.)

It’s not a “pure fantasy” – it’s a well-crafted satire on Americans and how easily they were bamboozled.

Which means you will live forever in your parent’s basement? Better check in with them on that one. There is more out there than one’s own backyard.
