This has to be one of the best comics of all time for facial expressions. It’s a true gift for someone to be able to write funny scenarios AND be able to draw beautifully. Watterson had/has that gift.
I do have to wonder though, why hasn’t Suzy commented on Calvin’s much neater than usual appearance?
I don’t get my email notification for another 3 hours but I kept yesterday’s so I could get in a bit earlier tonight. This is really good and I don’t remember a thing from the original run so it’s all new to me. Where the heck is Dad in all this? So far it’s just been Mom and now Mrs. Wormwood. Poor Dad is missing out!
I remember Periwinkle being in the BIG box of Crayola Crayons. I can still hear the delight in my 3 year old god-daughter’s voice as she learned to say it. She’s 37 now, wonder if it’s still there?
I can so vividly remember being in such a panic as a child wondering how Santa was going to get in with a fire in the fireplace and my parents telling me the fire would be long out before he came. I don’t think I ever barged into the livingroom with a fire extinguisher in my hands though. I couldn’t have, I’m still among the living.
