    It’s compared differently when matching in-species. In this case, 93% is closer than a sibling (almost close enough to be a clone), unless parents are very closely related.

    When you’re matching in-species, you ignore the stuff which is common. Therefore, two unrelated people will have less than a percentage point in common, and children will have a 50% match to each of their parents (not including mutations).
