We called them lightning bugs when I was a kid living near Kansas City. There aren’t any in California, and I do miss them. But on a trip to the Amazon, we saw synchronous fireflies - they all blinked at once in unison. Amazing! And I just now learned that same phenomenon occurs in the Great Smoky Mountains, apparently the only place in North America. Field trip --?
Our first cat Rice was a seal point Siamese and he did indeed darken with age. Later we had Nemo, whose points were more gray. Neither was ever orange on the rest of his face or body like Elvis. Or is that color just my computer monitor?
I use Internet Explorer. The “expand” feature on the new GoComics site does not work. I tried what other commenters have suggested. That did not work. I even signed up for an account and it still does not work. I am so disgusted! I just want to read ‘Breaking Cat News’! I don’t want to have to get a new browser. Please make my favorite comic accessible!!
