Some of the comments make me sick. It is not necessary to shock or mistreat animals to be in charge. I have retrained animals with real serious biting and scratching problems with firm kindness. It works!It sounds like the real training to be a responsible pet owner should start with training people in compassion and kindness. Incidentally, I don’t believe letting animals run wild or biting people is kind. Either to the biter or the bitee.As my Dad would say, “You’ve got to be smarter than the dog.” He never hurt a dog in his life!
Remember, Arnold is quite a bit younger than Evie. I seem to remember that she’s had some health issues in the past. Perhaps in the back of her mind is the thought that she may need serious medical help some day – not always easy ……It’s great for now, but she has to think about the future because no one will do it for her….
