If Fox is so undesirable, why is this character always watching it?

@Ira Nayman: Well, I thought I was being ironic, but then a paused briefly on MSNBC this morning and I’m no longer sure!

@Radfish: Because we’re just the unwashed, uneducated (oh, and racist, of course) masses who can’t possibly know what’s good for us.

Still waiting for GT’s icon for Big O…

Maybe he’s afraid to draw it, analogous to the way the members of some religions cannot produce renditions of their prophet/religious figures. Hmmm… But, when in doubt, there’s always room for Bush-bashing!

@billdog: Dunno, I think I’d rather have billionaires influencing politics than pandering to the lazy…

    @benbrilling

Ref. Bush comparison: Ok, fair enough, but a more relevant comparison:

Number of days TCO spent at exotic/upscale locations in 2009 on the public dime: 26 Number of days I spent at exotic/upscale locations in 2009: 5 – On the public dime: 0 Number of days you spent at exotic/upscale locations in 2009: _ – On the public dime: 0

It’s amazing how well he spends other people’s money…

Wonder when GT will finally unveil The Chosen One’s icon. Some suggestions (because I know you all care so much):

A 24k gold waffle (as in the new and improved Bubba Clinton)? A Moses-esque stone tablet? A protractor (for his social engineering)? A dollar sign with infinity ($∞)? A counting-down clock? A standard bearing the symbols of all his devout groupies (never mind–that’s impossible to fit in a comic)

Is there any way to draw a vacation?

cabrobst: Which ones are the Nazis (I loooooove how that metaphor gets thrown around so fast-and-loose these days; really eliminates the true meaning of the term)?

You add nothing to a discussion…

ANandy–well, I’d personally feel better if he had to spend hours circling the airport, but his presence is no threat. In fact, his ability to spew within the UN just undermines his credibility, and also demonstrates the marginal value of the UN. The fact that nutjobs like A-jad and Chavez have the same political (and apparently moral) clout as Merkel or Hatoyama in that organization shows its irrelevance.

Keep kicking that dead horse, Garry–I get it; Fox and slavery are the same thing.

Guelzo’s ‘Lincoln: Redeemer President’ is a great book on just how precarious his position was during the war; highly recommend it.

Cool. Another Nazi metaphor. Can’t have too many of those around these days.

Obama’s a Nazi, the Tea Partiers are Nazis, Arizonas are Nazis, Glenn Beck is a Nazi. It wasn’t funny the first time either.

Maybe Lalo should ask a Holocaust survivor how he/she is enjoying a tasteless comparison of their experience with genocide with a popularly-supported piece of legislation well within the jurisdiction of a state.

    Disgusting…
