I always worried about this as a child, that if I killed a bee or spider or ant or … that it’s friends would attack. Of course, a cold-blooded balloon killer deserves everything he gets.

    Welcome back, caucel!

    Re. “dunce”: No way!

Re. “stealing”: After thinking about it for a while, I suspect mblase75 is referring to the re-writing of children’s stories, which is an occasional theme in PBS. I don’t think this is the same thing at all.

    I’d watch WKTN.

Re. Pearls: I’m sure glad Mark draws our Lio … but it was a funny crossover.

Cf. “Hands Across the Comics Page” week at Pearls Before Swine … where the burning question is not “where’s Fred?” but “when will Mary Worth come out of the closet???”

Hi, carsc23: Gotta give a shout out to anyone who knows Ashley MacIsaac!

I’ve never watched SpongeBob … does he live in a pineapple?

(I like the way Lio’s 1/3 cut turned into a perfect half. He must be great at slicing pies.)

Hey, it’s my birfday, too! (Another reason why I love Lio.) Congratulations, Mark, and many happy returns of the day, Lio!

I was shocked (SHOCKED I say) the first time I say Lio on a tricycle. I had never thought about how old he is until then, and it just seemed wrong.

I adore Lio and just loved seeing this! Mark, when they dropped Lio from the Seattle Times a few weeks ago, I begged and begged to have him returned. (Along with the NY Times Crossword Puzzle, which they did eventually reinstate after the Seattle P-I died.) I still have hope … but in the mean time I come here everyday to visit my little friend.
