Law abiding gun owners did not stop what almost became another Newtown. It was a smart and brave woman in that school’s front office who saw what was about to happen and hat the wits to stall for time as well as the good fortune that the killer hadn’t already started shooting. So please, let’s stop the nonsense about how heat- packing ordinary citizens would have prevented this near tragedy as well as all the other massacres that have torn the fabric of this society apart.
The republican party is largely a collection of cretins who bear most of the responsibility for the economic disaster that befell the country. The cartoon merely displays their relentless attempt to insure that things don’t improve under Obama’s leadership. The fact that they didn’t win the election and lost seats in the Senate appears to have no bearing on the relentlessness of their need to blame Obama for what they caused.
