That is a wheel chair in panel three, isn’t it?

What is it with the weirdly drawn lips on all the African-American characters? Austin’s look like Little Richard in full drag mode. Bizarre.

Yup, that’s Gabby Hayes all right. I can hear his voice……….

It’s really pretty simple. Imagine instead of “Redskins” the DC team had historically been called the “Washington N_____s”.

Would any announcer use that horribly offensive word? No. So don’t use “Redskins” which is just as offensive.

Poor kid. He will get a rude awakening one day when he has to deal with reality on his own.

As for Dad? Maybe it’s a stretch to say his behaviour is abusive, but he is damaging his son.

We are nowhere near the realms of reality here. I suppose that’s partly the point.

The food is for the Thorpe dungeon dwellers.
So what do you think? Will True suit up for Milford in the fall or not?

Uh, oh. I thought that maybe the kid would be embarrassed by Dad’s attitude, but panel two tells a different story. The son might be as big an “entitled” jerk as his father.

Best case scenario? Gil transforms the kid’s personality so he becomes a selfless team man………and then sells him to the orphanage where the Thorpe kids are.
