About PreTeena
Remember those transitional years between childhood and adolescence -- the days when you were playing on the swing set one minute, and daydreaming about the fifth-grade love of your life the next? This is the life of Teena Keene -- almost 11 years old, a fifth grader and a good student. She’s an avid inline skater and not quite ready to give up her dolls. But makeup and boys, particularly Gordo Brandt, are beginning to vie for her attention. Teena teeters between child and budding teen, and enjoys being a little of both.

The tradition got lost in our home. For the holidays the kitchen is all mine. My ex wife and my current one both are allergic to cooking. My daughters however learn to love it from me. Now I’m retired and is my full time hobby.

Most of the time I cook and my wife cleans up. Thanksgiving and Christmas she cooks and I clean up – both made easier by cooking turkey thighs instead of the whole bird – we both prefer dark meat.

When my family invites people over for Thanksgiving, they always insist on bringing food. I would say that we cook fewer dishes in larger quantities for a crowd. For the last two years, all our family has needed to cook is the turkey and a vegetable. We still end up with far too much food.
