If you would like to ‘favorite’ the strip, (and maybe the sketch, too), simply log in and click on the ‘Favorite’ star directly above the strip. Mr. McEldowney very kindly asked for us what purpose is served by favoriting, and this was the answer:
I asked my editor at Gocomics about the purpose of “favoriting” a strip. Her answer was this: “‘Favoriting’ allows people following you to see what comics you like. ‘Favorited’ comics also show up under your profile, and allow us to see what comics people are enjoying.”
Basically, I think it provides a method for spreading the word.

Nat Bustard sounds like he got some of his lines from Guy Noire.

Come to think of it Garrison Kielor extemporizes his stories about the News from Lake Woebegone, sort of the same way Brooke does his story arcs. If PHC ever does a remote show from Maine, I vote he has Brooke on as a guest. They’ll certainly be able to meet eyeball to eyeball.

I’m fairl;y sure that this is* Pib, since she has *two missing friends to worry about and hisirng a PI would make sense - particularly hiring a PI who

{A} Understands about the supernatiral (being, recall, a demon in disguise himself),
{B} Can probably be counted upon to do his best due to previous frrlings about one of the missing,
and
{C} Has a partner whom she knows of old and trusts.

Even if she doesn’t necessarily trust Bustard himself.
