At its heart, Pearls Before Swine is the comic strip tale of two friends: an arrogant Rat who thinks he knows it all and a slow-witted Pig who doesn't know any better. Together, this pair offers caustic commentary on humanity's quest for the unattainable. Dilbert cartoonist Scott Adams says that Pearls is "one of the few comics that make me laugh out loud." The strip has twice won the National Cartoonists Society's Reuben division award for Best Newspaper Comic Strip – in 2003 and in 2006.

Like a “Devil’s Bargain” no matte what you can think of it can be twisted by another. Just imagine Stalin as an interpreter of the Bill of Rights?

Reagan once joked about what the Ten Commandments would look like if it had gone through Congress.

“I meant well” is pretty much the same as, “all due respect.”

With all due respect, where were the good intentions?

Or like awarding an Emmy for best comedy to a mediocre clichéd show such as MODERN FAMILY. I’m sure they meant well. . ..

At least Obama meant well. Recent Republican presidents have been pure evil.

For a really good novel-length treatment of “I meant well”, read Mary Doria Russell’s “The Sparrow”.

Rat just left out a couple of words, that’s all…. “I meant (to aim it) well.”
And he did.

Is ‘I meant well’ going to be Obama’s reelection platform?

Umm, nobody’s whining about you. We can see what you are. This is a comics board and there was nothing political in this strip today.

“Just imagine Stalin as an interpreter of the Bill of Rights?”
.
Not much different than the current Supreme Circus (Court) in my estimation.
