    You missed your chance, CB. Tell him NO once, then go in the house and wait an hour. Come back out with one bowl of food and watch the sniveling piddling pooch come crawling to you and lick your hand for your overwhelming kindness.

    Snoopy feels like he’s at Old Country Buffet or Golden Corral.

    You give in too easy, Charlie Brown. Too wishy-washy.

    What I want to know is this….just HOW did Snoopy tell CB he wanted a cafeteria supper?

    Judging by the ear black fill on snoopy, I’m guessing this is a later strip (80s-90s)

    ^ Check the copyright date in panel 4 – 1967.

    @Mumblix

    Although it is possible, the copyright date and the printed date are not always the same. The two dates can be years apart.

    Typically, especially during this time period, the copyright date is the date when it was first published. Under the newer copyright law, however, a work is considered copyrighted from the moment of creation. Official copyright documentation still comes through the Library of Congress. Today’s strip was indeed first published in 1967.

    @dheine1971

    At that time (the 1960s), in the Bay Area it would have been Moore’s or Manning’s.
